Linda Kagan has a wide range of experience as both a litigator and business law practitioner. Ms. Kagan negotiates complex commercial transactions, represents executives in many types of negotiations, as well as civil and criminal government investigations, while representing businesses and individuals as general counsel. Her practice focuses on all areas of business law, ranging from contract negotiations, business formation, asset sales and acquisitions, to general litigation, including both civil and criminal matters. Her prior experience at two major law firms, LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae and Jones Day, consisted of litigation and business restructuring and reorganization. She has also served as Counsel to The Law Offices of Gordon Mehler PLLC and taken part in complex civil and criminal investigations of Fortune 500 companies involved in Justice Department investigations, SEC investigations and investigations conducted by the New York Attorney General’s office.
Ms. Kagan received a Bachelor of Science degree in an interdisciplinary study of economics and international development from the University of California at Berkeley in 1987 and her law degree from Yeshiva University's Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1993. Ms. Kagan was a Member of the Cardozo Law Review and, as an Alexander Fellow, clerked for Judge Pierre N. Leval prior to his appointment to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
